Vonnegut/ Kraft are a Brooklyn-based design practice that was founded by Katrina Vonnegut and Brian Kraft who collaborate to create functional pieces whilst maintaining astute attention to detail, materiality, and sculptural form.
Making all pieces in their Sunset Park workshop, V/K are able to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process and are committed to striking a balance between technological manufacturing and traditional handmade craftsmanship.
A dedication to using the highest quality materials shines through when in the presence of any of their work and because of their backgrounds in fabrication and design, the studio is able to conceptualize or produce custom versions of all the pieces in their collection.
Rising stars in the New York design scene, Vonnegut/Kraft are in demand not only for their expertly-crafted collection but also for their site specific work in commercial, retail and residential spaces. Recent work includes custom furniture for the newly-opened Thakoon retail store on Wooster St, NYC, the fashion designers first ever retail space. They have also produced custom work for the beautiful Totokaelo boutique which garnered huge acclaim when it opened in NYC in 2015.
Not So General is currently V/K's only home in Los Angeles and we are delighted to be able to present works from their furniture collection in the gallery and are available to discuss either the available pieces or any requests for custom designs.
NOT SO GENERAL carries the following select pieces from Vonnegut Kraft:
- Crescent Day Bed
- MESA Table
- Dune Candelabra
- Troika Stool/Side Table
